Why concentrate
Ninety percent of a cleaning bottle is water. Keep the ten percent.
A concentrated cleaner is the same cleaning power without the water, the plastic or the truck. Here is how it works, what it costs per litre, and why it suits an Egyptian home better than the bottle it replaces.
What a concentrate is
A cleaner has two parts: the ingredients that lift dirt (surfactants, enzymes, scent) and the water that carries them. A ready-to-use bottle ships both. A concentrate ships only the first part, built to be diluted, and your tap supplies the water at home. One cap of concentrate in a refill bottle, water to the shoulder, and you have exactly the product you used to buy, minus the bottle.

The maths, per litre
The fair comparison is the price of a litre of ready-to-use cleaner. Here is what each House & Co. concentrate costs per litre once mixed, from today's prices. Check the bottle under your sink: divide its price by its litres and compare.
Prices are live from the shop. Hand and body washes mix 1 to 8 and make 4 litres; cleaners mix 1 to 20 and make 10 litres. Volume discounts of 10 to 18% apply from two concentrates.
Why it suits Egypt
Cairo dust means more cleaning, not less; a bottle that lasts a year beats a bottle that lasts a month. Summer heat is kinder to a sealed concentrate than to a half-empty spray. Delivery across the country moves 500 grams instead of ten kilos of water. And Egypt is the Mediterranean's largest source of plastic waste, so every bottle not bought is one that cannot reach the Nile.

Does it clean as well?
Better, in most cases, because the dose is controlled. Supermarket sprays are diluted to a price; a concentrate is diluted to a job.
- German-engineered formulasSurfactant loads around twenty times a supermarket spray, stabilised enzymes, scent dosed for the mixed strength.
- Plant-based, dermatologically testedCoconut-derived surfactants and bio-enzymes where they help; no chlorine, no phosphates.
- One cap, no guessingThe cap holds 25 ml. The label says how many. Over-dosing leaves residue; the right dose leaves nothing.

How to switch
- 1Pour 25 mlInto the free refill bottle that comes with it. The dose is printed on every label.
- 2Top up with tap waterFill to the neck. That is one part concentrate to nineteen parts water.
- 3Shake once. Clean for weeks. One 500 ml concentrate refills that bottle twenty times over.
Questions people ask before switching
Is concentrated cleaner cheaper than ready-to-use?
Per litre, yes, usually by a wide margin. A House & Co. concentrate makes 10 litres of cleaner, so a LE 349 bottle works out at about LE 35 per litre mixed. Compare that with the price per litre of the spray you buy today.
Do I need special bottles?
No. Every concentrate comes with a free refill bottle that suits it: a trigger spray, a pump, or a 200 ml foamer. You can also reuse any clean bottle with a 25 ml cap as the measure.
Is it safe to mix with Cairo tap water?
Yes. The formulas are designed for ordinary tap water. If your water is very hard, you may see a slightly weaker foam in the hand wash; it cleans the same.
How long does a mixed bottle keep?
A mixed refill bottle keeps for months in a cupboard. The sealed concentrate keeps for two years. Keep both out of direct sun.
