The 15-minute kitchen reset.

A kitchen does not get dirty all at once. It gets dirty in a hundred small ways between dinner and breakfast, and the way to stay ahead of it is not a big clean on Friday. It is fifteen minutes every evening, always in the same order, with three bottles that live under the sink. Here is ours.
1. Clear and spray the counter (3 minutes)
Everything off the counter first: the board, the salt, the bowl of fruit. Crumbs into your hand, not onto the floor. Then a light mist of Multi Surface Sanitizer across the whole surface, and walk away. The minute it sits is the minute that matters: it loosens the film of oil and sugar that a dry cloth only moves around. Come back, wipe in one direction with a folded microfibre, flip the cloth, wipe again.
One refill bottle of sanitizer is 500 ml of ready-to-use spray made from 25 ml of concentrate. At one mist an evening, it lasts about two months.

2. The hob, while it is still warm (4 minutes)
Grease is easiest to lift when it is warm and fresh, so the hob comes straight after cooking, never the next day. This is the one job for Deep Cleaner, the trigger bottle. Spray the splashes and the ring around each burner, give it its minute, then wipe with the cloth you used for the counter. Burnt-on spots get a second spray and a soft brush, not a scourer. Finish with a dry corner of the cloth so glass hobs do not streak.
Keep the Deep Cleaner for the hob, the oven door and the extractor. It is the strongest thing in the kit and it does not need to be on everything.
3. The sink, last and properly (5 minutes)
Dishes in warm water with a squeeze of Dish Wash from the pump bottle. The dilution is one to nineteen, so a single pump is enough for a full bowl; more foam is not more clean. Rack, do not towel-dry. When the bowl is empty, the sink itself gets the same water and a quick scrub, then a rinse, then the tap and the drain cover get a mist of sanitizer. A sink that is wiped dry at night does not grow the orange film that the Cairo water leaves behind.

4. Bin and floor (3 minutes)
Bin out if it is more than half full, a mist of sanitizer inside the lid, a sweep under the counter edge where the crumbs go. If something spilled, a damp cloth with a few drops of Dish Wash in the water. The floor gets its proper mop at the weekend; the evening is only about what fell today.
Why the order matters
Counter before hob, so the crumbs are gone before you spray grease. Hob before sink, so the greasy cloth goes into the water at the end. Sink last, so the bowl that cleaned everything is itself clean when you go to bed. Fifteen minutes, every evening, and the Friday clean becomes a thing you used to do.
The three bottles together are the Kitchen Essential Kit, with a refill bottle for each. If you already have the bottles, the bottle calculator tells you how long a concentrate lasts your kitchen.
